Tannus Armour Tire Insert (Liner) & Armour Tubes

Tannus Armour is a closed-cell foam insert that sits between your tire and tube. It puts roughly 15 mm of puncture protection under the tread and 2 mm along the sidewalls, so glass, thorns, nails and sharp rocks stop before they reach the tube. It also lets you run lower pressure for more grip and a smoother ride, and if you do flat, the insert supports the tire so you can limp home instead of walking.

Sold per tire. Order two for a full bike. Pick the size that matches the tire width printed on your sidewall (e.g. a 20 x 4.0 fat e-bike tire = 20 x 4.0-4.8 Fat).

Choose your Item

• Armour Insert (no tube) – the foam liner only.
• Armour Tube – Presta / Schrader – Tannus's Armour-specific tubes. Because the insert takes up space inside the tire, Armour runs on a smaller-than-normal tube; a standard tube will fold and pinch. Add one tube per insert in the valve type your rim uses (most e-bikes and e-motos are Schrader).

Good to know

• Works with standard tube-type tires and rims; not for tubeless setups.
• Installs with no special tools – unseat one bead, lay the insert in the tire, fit the Armour tube, re-seat and inflate. Our service team can install it for you: see Tire Change or E-Moto Wheelset / Tire Install.
• Recommended pressure range is printed on the insert; most riders drop 5–10 psi from their normal setting.
• Sizes labelled Plus and Fat are shaped for wide-casing tires; the 22 in. RadWagon listing is the Armour tube only.
