PDI: Pre Delivery Inspection
A motorcycle Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) is a comprehensive check conducted by EMOTO Supply Co. to ensure that a new motorcycle meets safety, performance, and quality standards before it’s delivered to our customer.
-
Visual Inspection: Check for any damage, scratches, or missing parts on the motorcycle. Ensure the paint, body panels, and all components are intact and well-finished.
-
Fluid Levels: Verify and top off essential fluids, coolant, brake fluid, and any other lubricants the bike requires.
-
Battery Check: Test the battery's charge level, secure it properly, and ensure it’s functioning correctly to avoid issues with starting and electrical systems.
-
Tires and Wheels: Confirm that tire pressure is set to the manufacturer’s specifications and inspect the tires for any irregularities. Check the wheels for proper alignment and that they’re free from damage.
-
Electrical System: Test all lights (headlights, tail lights, indicators, brake lights), horn, and any other electronic features to ensure they’re operational.
-
Brakes and Suspension: Inspect the brakes for correct installation, fluid levels, and function. Ensure that the suspension components are properly installed and calibrated as required.
-
Bolts and Fasteners: Tighten all bolts, fasteners, and nuts to specified torque values to avoid loose parts or rattling.
-
Road Test: Perform a short test ride to check for handling, braking, and overall performance. Confirm that there are no unusual sounds or performance issues.
-
Cleaning: Clean the motorcycle to ensure it’s presentable and free of any manufacturing residues before delivering it to the customer.
-
Documentation: Complete any required paperwork, checklists, or service records, which confirm that the motorcycle has passed inspection and is ready for the customer.
